Sales Engineer / Solution Architect
We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer / Solutions Architect to design and guide the implementation of scalable, robust software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Support:
Collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements and technical challenges
Conduct technical discovery sessions with prospective clients
Design proof-of-concept solutions and technical proposals
Present technical solutions and architecture recommendations to potential clients
Participate in RFP responses and technical evaluations
Provide technical expertise during sales presentations and client meetings
Estimate effort, timeline, and technical feasibility for proposed solutions
Post-Sales Support:
Ensure smooth transition from sales to delivery teams
Provide ongoing technical guidance throughout project implementation
Conduct solution validation and architecture reviews during delivery
Support troubleshooting of complex technical issues during implementation
Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions with client technical teams
Monitor solution performance and recommend optimizations
Maintain client relationships through technical consultation and support
Architecture & Design:
Design end-to-end solutions for complex business problems using Java-based technologies
Create technical specifications, system diagrams, and architecture documentation
Establish coding standards, best practices, and design patterns
Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to development teams
Technical Leadership:
Lead technical discussions and provide expert guidance on Java frameworks and technologies
Evaluate and recommend technology stacks, tools, and platforms
Mentor developers and promote knowledge sharing across teams
Drive adoption of modern Java practices and emerging technologies
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and constraints
Translate business needs into technical solutions and implementation roadmaps
Present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, operations teams, and sales personnel
Solution Delivery:
Oversee solution implementation and ensure adherence to architectural standards
Identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies
Support troubleshooting of complex technical issues
Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and scalability requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience in developing in Java and/or other JVM-based languages
Affinity with Domain-Driven Design. Experience with CQRS and Event Sourcing is an advantage.
Sales & Client Engagement Skills:
Experience supporting sales cycles and client-facing activities
Strong presentation and demonstration abilities
Ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences
Experience with solution selling and consultative approaches
Understanding of commercial aspects of technology solutions
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
Leadership experience with cross-functional teams
Ability to balance technical excellence with business pragmatism
Customer-focused mindset with strong relationship-building skills
